2010 Age Multi Class Championships – Wrap Up
Six West Australian athletes attended the 2010 Australian Age Multi Class Championships at the AIS pool in Canberra from Friday 26th through to Sunday 28th February. The three day event consisted of swimmers aged from 11 years through to 18 years competing against other state representatives.

Multi Class races see athletes compete against the world record mark in that event for their classification, and not necessarily the swimmers in the lanes next to them.  The winner of the race is not who touches the wall first, but the swimmer who gets closest to the world record in their classification.

The classifications are broken down as follows;
1-S10                      Functional Disability
S11 - S13                 Visually Impaired
S14                         Intellectually Disabled
S15                         Deaf
S16                         Transplant recipients
