Events that have less than 8 entries will not go to STRAIGHT FINALS as has been in the past except the SWD Events and both the Female and Male 800m and 1500m Freestyle Events.

These events, with 8 or less entries, will still be swum in the morning heats giving swimmers the opportunity of race practise. All times swum in morning heat sessions are official times. Swimmers who do not participate in the morning heat session will not be penalised as the Championship Event will still be swum in the Finals Session, as per the program.

The Final session will not be reseeded regardless of results from the morning Heat Session.

Those events with less than 8 entries - at this stage - are as follows:-

Event 4 - Men 400 Freestyle

Event 11 - Women 400 IM

Event 12 - Men 200 Backstroke

Event 19 - Men 200 Butterfly

Event 33 - Men 400 IM

Event 47 - Women 200 Butterfly

Event 56 - Men 200 Breaststroke

This decision may affect those events with 9 or less entries and will be monitored during the championships.
