The Swimming WA Invitational was held at Challenge Stadium on Friday 15^th January 2010 at Challenge Stadium. The meet was a new addition to the Swimming WA calendar and was developed for all the registered metro and country swimmers who have entry times equal to or slower that AA Standard to compete in a fun and friendly environment.

198 swimming athletes attended the meet with over 57% of the swimmers improving on their personal best times and all age groups were awarded with a medallion for their efforts.

Swimming WA received some very positive feedback about the event.

"Thanks WA Swimming.  The Invitational meet was a fantastic meet, giving the swimmers who aren't quite up at the top level a chance to shine.  It was very well run and I hope it is on again next year" said one member.

Swimming WA would like to thank the Competition Planning Committee, Officials, Volunteers, Parents and Swimmers for their contribution and support of this event.

Due to Invitational's enormous success the event will be back in 2011 and we urge all clubs and swimmers to get involved as it is a fantastic tool to help develop an athlete's swimming and an opportunity to gain some competition experience.
