The Australian Paralympic swimming team capped off a sensational seven days of competition with five short course world records on the final day of the 2009 IPC Swimming World Championships in Rio.
Twenty year old West Australian swimmer Katrina Porter of West Coast Swimming Club added to the medal tally after finishing in second place to take home a silver medal in the women’s 100m breaststroke SB6 with a time of 1.52.40.
The Australian team will touch down in Sydney on Wednesday with an exceptional 23 gold including 18 new short course world records, 17 silver and 14 bronze medals.
