The 2009 Department of Sport and Recreation Industry Awards was held on Friday night at Burswood Entertainment Complex. Swimming WA was invited as a finalist in the category for the Western Australian Sports Federation Peak Body Achievers’ Award.

 We are very pleased to announce that Swimming WA was presented with the award in recognition of our involvement and achievement in the sector of the industry. With so many worthy contenders also up for the award it is fantastic to be recognised by the DSR for our efforts and achievements in the sport of swimming in Western Australia. The acceptance of the award was an added bonus to what was a fantastic awards ceremony.
